Krafts to give Super Treatment to MIAA Championship Games

The tradition of hosting the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) EMass Super Bowls at Gillette Stadium is entering its third year and the results couldn’t be better.

More than 25,000 high school football fans have descended on Foxborough each of the last two years to see the best teams in six MIAA EMass Divisions compete for the Super Bowl title. On Saturday, Dec. 5, the Kraft family will once again open Gillette Stadium rent-free to the MIAA to provide the biggest possible stage for the student athletes.

“We’re proud of the tradition we’re building here, crowning the high school Super Bowl champions at Gillette Stadium,” said Robert Kraft, Chairman and CEO of The Kraft Group. “We are thrilled to be able to give these students the opportunity to step onto this field to play in the biggest games of their lives. We want to make it as memorable as possible for them, their families, their schools and their communities.”

Twenty-four teams will compete on Tuesday, Dec. 1 for the chance to play at Gillette Stadium, which will host the EMass Super Bowls in Div. IIIA (9:00 a.m.), Div. III (11:00 a.m.), Div. IIA (1:30 p.m.), Div. II (3:30 p.m.), Div. I (6:00 p.m.) and Div. IA (8:00 p.m.) on Dec. 5. All games times are approximate.

“Once again, we are grateful to the Kraft family for hosting the Eastern Massachusetts Super Bowl games. Their generosity in providing an exciting finish to the football season for 12 teams, along with the other MIAA activities they support, is greatly appreciated,” said Richard F. Neal, MIAA Executive Director.

Beyond the honor of playing on the same field as the New England Patriots, the Super Bowl participants will be treated by the Kraft family to an NFL-caliber game production. The teams will be introduced on Gillette Stadium’s 48 x 27-foot video screens and public address system and compete live on television across Massachusetts. Following each game, a jersey from the winning team will be raised to the Champions Wall at The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon, which will offer discounted admission to fans attending the games.

Tickets to the Super Bowls are just $13 for adults and $10 for students and are available at the Gillette Stadium ticket office throughout the day on Dec. 5.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
Kraft Sports Productions will produce the television broadcast, which will air on Comcast SportsNet (IIIA, III and IIA) and WSBK TV 38 (Divisions II, I and IA). Scott Zolak and Gary Tanguay will call the games on both stations. The games will also be broadcast on 98.5 The Sports Hub along with being streamed live and made available for on-demand viewing at www.NewEnglandFootball.com.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Tickets
General admission tickets for the event are $13 for adults and $10 for students, children and seniors. They will be available at the Gillette Stadium ticket offices beginning at 8:00 a.m. All fans will enter the stadium via the Patriot Place Gate. There will be no re-entry allowed.

Parking
Parking is free for the event. Fans arriving via Route 495 and Route 1 North should enter the stadium parking lots via the P7 or P8 entrances.  Fans arriving via Route 95 and Route 1 South should enter the stadium parking lots via the P1 entrance. No tailgating will be allowed in the parking lots.

Concessions and Dining
Concessions will be available throughout the day at Gillette Stadium. In addition, Patriot Place features  16 casual to high-end restaurants for pregame meals or postgame celebrations. Visit www.patriot-place.com for restaurant info.


The Hall at Patriot Place presented to Raytheon
The award-winning Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon will offer $3 off admission on Saturday with a ticket to the High School Super Bowls. Immediately following each game, a jersey from the winning team will be raised to the Champions Wall in the New England Football exhibit at The Hall.
